Well what an enjoyable day and a lovely entry for me, with a fantastic
atmosphere at this very scenic venue. I would like to take this opportunity to
thank the Committee members for their superb hospitality and for the
entrants for affording me the opportunity to go over some lovely examples
of the breed. My apologies for taking a little time to do this critique but I
was thrown straight into midwifery duties the minute I got home from my
judging appointment with 9 puppies.
Class 1: 2/1 Vetaran Dog
Smith’s Craigdean Franks a Million with Luanshya; Blue
Roan, Masculine head, ample neck sloping into shoulders. Deep rib and fore
chest with strong hindquarters. Moved true, a lovely example of the breed
for a ten year old dog. BVD & BVIS

Class 2: 3/1 Minor Puppy Dog
1st C & JM Mason and Robinson’s; Zheridons Malbec; Light Blue Roan. Well
matured flashy light blue with square muzzle and well developed skull.
Clean throat and neck flowing to a deep fore chest. Moderate length of neck,
sloping into well defined shoulders. Short loin with strong hindquarters. Held
a straight top line on the move. Handled and presented well.
2nd Murray’s; Strathturret Time Will Tell; Dark Blue Roan. Sweet head,
adequate neck and shoulders. The trimming of this puppy did not enhance
its overall profile and movement.
Class 3: 9/1 Puppy Dog
1st Flowers: Totenkopf Dutch Dubois; Black. Sculptured masculine head
with dark eye. Strong neck into well laid back shoulders. Tight elbows and
feet. Well balanced throughout. Sound and stylish. BPD
2nd : R & M Kennedy & Waddington : Winter Dance; Orange Roan.
Handsome head and expression. Adequate neck into sloping shoulders. Well
ribbed and short loin. Well angled fore and aft. Presented well. Pipped to the
post by 1st.
Class 4: 3/0 Junior Dog
1st M C Cartney; Carlundies Cooper; Blue Roan. Well sculptured head with
kind expression. Ample reach of neck with sloping shoulders. Tight elbows
and feet. Short loin with strong hindquarters. Short hocks for drive. Excellent
presentation.
2nd : Mrs A Scotland : Indigo Sun; Blue Roan. Slightly longer cast in loin
with strong hindquarters. Maintained a level top line in profile when stacked
and on the move.
Class 5: Absent
Class 6: 2/1 Novice dog
1st Mrs E Maclean : Lynwater Walnut Whip; Liver Roan. Square muzzle and
well defined head. Ample neck, however a little heavy over the shoulders.
Legs well boned with good bend of stifle. Moved well.
Class 7: 3/0 Special Yearling
1st Mrs C Cartney Carlundies Cooper.
2nd Mrs M Hind; Scomar Magic Flute : Black & White. Skull well developed
and clearly chiselled, clean throat. Sufficiently short in body for concentrated
power but balanced. Good bone. Presented nicely throughout. Moved
soundly.
Class 8 : 2/0 Undergraduate Dog
1st R&M Kennedy & Waddington; Lynwater Daydreamer of Kenwad; Blue
Roan. Masculine Head with square muzzle. Plenty of neck sloping into well
defined shoulders. Super angles at front and rear. Tight elbows and feet.
Lacking a little in coat. Moved beautifully with little effort.
2nd Mrs M Hind; Scomar Magic Flute.
Class 9 : 4/0 Graduate Dog
1st Mrs W Bodzak: Briconess Solar Flare; Gold. Masculine chiselled head
with correct ear set. Moderate neck with clean throat. Deep fore chest. Tight
elbows and feet thickly padded. Well balanced throughout. Moved merrily
around the ring.
2nd C & D & S Mason, Clubb & Mason; Lynwater Khristian; Black,
Handsome head with super expression. Strong neck into sloping shoulders.
Deep rib expanse with short loin. Tight elbows and feet. Good bend of stifle.
Class 10 : 5/1 Post Graduate Dog
1st Flowers; Totenkopf Magic Touch; Black & Tan, Sculptured head with
dark eye. Strong neck of ample length sloping into fine shoulders. Tight
elbows and padded feet. Strong front and rear quarters. Short hocks for
drive. This dog just flowed around the ring with its merry disposition. My
BD & RBIS.

2nd Miss N Roger; Pembrokegate Dandy Lad, Black, Balanced masculine
head and square muzzle. Ample neck and shoulders. Good bone Strong
hindquarters. Happy disposition. Preferred 1.
Class 11 : 5/1 Limit Dog
1st Madigan & Fairairn; Grassmillees Mr Bojangle of Carmelfair: Liver Roan,
Super head and expression. Strong sloping neck into fine shoulders. Short
and compact with level topline. Completely balanced in angulation. Moved
happily around the ring. RBD

2nd Mrs E Maclean; Lynwater Wild Mint: Blue Roan with ample neck and
shoulders, Good bone with strong hindquarters slightly longer in the loin
than 1st. Moved soundly around the ring.
Class 12 5/1 Open Dog
1st Mrs Smith; Craigdean Callimakokr at Luanshya SH CM. A lovely Blue
Roan with a chiseled head with clean throat. Adequate neck sloping into laid
back shoulders. Tight elbows and feet. Strong hindquarters with short hocks
for drive. Presented and handled well.
2nd Flowers; Totenkopf Dutch Dabloon JW. Gold, Beautifully sculptured
head with dark eye. Ample neck and shoulders. Balanced throughout. Just
preferred the overall profile of 1st.
Class 13 5/1 Vetaran Bitch
1st Mrs W Bodzak; Kenan Summer Solstice. Gold. Sweet expression with
dark eye. Clean throat extending into deep fore chest. Good angles both
front and rear. Tight feet and elbows. Giving an overall compact profile.
Moved round the ring like she owned it. BVB

2nd Mr and Mrs Neatham; Lynwater Sea Dreams. Blue Roan. Ample neck
and shoulders. Deep Rib and Brisket. Strong hind quarters. On her toes for a
veteran. Preferred the compactness of 1.
Class 14 4/2 Minor Puppy Bitch
1st Mr and Mrs A & H Murray & Manzie; Windroves Shady Lady With
Worlewood. Blue Roan. Very sweet head and expression. Clean throat
extending into well developed fore chest. Ample neck sloping into
shoulders. Tight elbows and feet. Strong hindquarters with short hocks for
plenty of drive. Loved this baby my BPB & BPIS.

2nd Mrs J Murray; Strathturret Moment In Time. Blue Roan. Really sweet
head with kind expression. Clean throat extending into chest. Tight feet and
elbows. Short hocks.
Class 15 6/1 Puppy Bitch
1st Miss K Scotland; Dawn Approach: Orange Roan. Really sweet head with
kind expression. Clean throat extending into deep chest. Ample neck sloping
into fine shoulders.Tight feet and elbows. Good bend of stifle with short
hocks. Moved around the ring like she owned it. Super puppy.
2nd Mrs & Miss L & C May: Lynshow Lobelia: Blue Roan. Feminine head with
sweet expression. Chest well developed. Legs well boned. Loin short, wide
with level top line.
Class 16 5/1  Junior Bitch
1st: Mrs W Reid; Shanaz Sassy. Blue Roan. Well developed skull, cleanly
chiseled with dark eye. Amplitude of neck sloping into fine shoulders.Tight
feet and elbows. Deep brisket with short loin. Hindquarters well muscled
with a good bend of stifle. Moved soundly and with style. A super profile
when stacked.
2nd: Mr M Blazejczak; Redgranate Red Diamond: Black. Sweet head with
expressive eyes. Adequate neck with sloping shoulders. Slightly longer in
loin to 1st. Strong well angulated hindquarters. Just lacked the finishing
touches of coat.
Class 17 5/1 Maiden Bitch
Mrs H Christie; Whitfield’s When U Wish Upon A Star. Blue Roan. Sweet
chiseled head with dark eye. Ample neck sloping into shoulders. Deep
Brisket with tight elbows. Held a level topline on the move.
2nd: Redgranate Red Diamond.
Class 18 5/2 Novice Bitch
1st: Mrs E Maclean: Tipperlin Traviata. Another really nice orange roan.
Unusually marked head with appealing expression. Abundant strong neck
sloping into well defined shoulders. Nice deep brisket with well sprung ribs.
Tight elbows and feet. Strong hindquarters with short hocks. Compact
overall appearance.
2nd Mrs N Devine: Devmont Some Might Say. Orange Roan. Sweet head.
Ample neck and shoulders. Deep ribbed and well boned. Kept level topline
on the move. Lacked the finishing furnishings of coat.
Class 19 2/1 Special Yearling Bitch
Whitfields: When You Wish Upon A Star.
Class 20 4/1 Undergraduate Bitch
Miss K Nuttall: Carmelfair Calabrianna. Blue Roan. Lovely chiseled head with
dark eye. Strong neck sloping into well defined shoulders. Extensive rib and
fore chest. Nice tight elbows and feet. Short loin, with nicely muscled rear
angulation. Short hocks for drive around the ring. A lovely bitch with a
delightful overall profile.
2nd J Garrett: Carmelfair Dorada. Blue Roan. Endearing head with dark eye.
Enough neck descending into fine shoulders. Deep rib with tight elbows and
padded feet. Not as strong on rear angulation as 1st. Moved beautifully
around the ring.
Class 21 8/3 Graduate Bitch
Mrs W Bodzak: Briconess Winter Eclipse. Black and Tan. Enchanting head
and expression. Adequate neck cascading into well defined shoulders. Deep
forechest and rib , with tight elbows and padded feet. Muscular hind
quarters. Moved merrily around the ring.
Mrs M Madigan: Misperros Miami. Blue Roan. Well defined head with clean
throat. Ample neck with sloping shoulders. Deep fore chest which flowed
through to ribs. Short loin with muscled hindquarters. An overall cobby
profile.
Class 22 2/1 Post Graduate Bitch
Mrs J Fairburn: Amarillo Starlight of Camelfair. Blue Roan. Exquisite head
with a pleasing expression. Clean throat cascading into a deep strong fore
chest. Ample neck and shoulders with tight elbows and padded feet. Short
loin extending into strong muscular angulated hindquarters. Short hocks for
plenty of drive. This bitch took my breath away when I put my hands on her
and ticked all the boxes for me. When she moved she owned the ring and
gave a beautiful overall profile when stacked. My BB & BIS.

Class 23 7/2 Limit Bitch
1st Mrs C Cartney: Ryanside New Beginning At Carlundie: Light Blue Roan.
Well developed head with square muzzle. Ample neck sloping into
shoulders. Deep forechest and ribs well sprung. Tight well padded feet.
Short loin with a good bend of stifle. Moved with confidence.
2nd Mrs E Maclean: Lynwater Butter Fudge. Roan. Sweet head with dark eye.
Enough neck sloping into strong shoulders. Longer in the loin than 1st.
However giving a lovely overall appearance when moving and stacked.
Class 24 5/2 Open Bitch
1st Mrs W Reid: Shanaz Oaty. Blue Roan. Elegant head with dark tight eyes.
Adequate neck cascading into well placed shoulders. Fine front with a deep
forechest. Well sprung ribs with short loin. Nicely angled muscular rear
hindquarters. Moved with style around the ring. Challenged for top honours. RBB

2nd R & M Kennedy & Waddington: Sweet head with tight dark eye. Ample
neck sloping into fine shoulders. Well sprung rib and plenty of bone. Loin
wide and firm. Tight well padded feet. A Good bend of stifle. Moved out with
a happy action.
Class 26 5/1 Val Smith Memorial Stakes Open
1st: Craigdean Callimakokr at Luanshya Sh Cm
2nd: Carmelfair Calabrianna
3rd: Misperros Miami
Res: Tvaeraa Snowdrop at Scomar
