East of Scotland Cocker Spaniel Club Open Show
Saturday 17th March 2018.
Critique: Mrs Trudi Anslow (Shansart)

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the officers and committee of the East of Scotland Cocker Spaniel Club for inviting me to judge at their Open Show, and to all the exhibitors for their kind entry. Such a warm and friendly club, who made my day one to remember, thank you.

Veteran Dog (4)
1. Smith’s Craigdean Callimakokr At Luanshya. 8 yr old blue roan with masculine head with dark tight rimmed eyes. Full of bone and substance. Good neck and shoulders, tight feet, and well ribbed. Good angulation, with super muscle tone. Very happy on the move. BVIS.
2. Fairbairn’s, Madigan and Nuttall’s Chativore Stargazer. 8 year old Blue roan. Lovely head with kind expressive eyes. Well boned, with lovely angulation. Lovely on the move.
3. Flowers’ Totenkopf Kirlinjis Dutch Dragoon JW Sh CM.

Minor Puppy Dog (3,1)
1. Hynd’s Ryallcourt Tan About Town At Scomar. 8 month old Tri appealing head with lovely tight rimmed eyes, well boned with tight feet. Short and compact with well rounded quarters. Moved OK.
2. Pollock’s Thurness Time Traveller. 8 month old black. Lovely head with dark appealing eyes. Slightly longer cast than 1 but well angulated. Beautifully presented and happy on the move.

Puppy Dog (2)
1. Smith’s Pearkim Pokemon at Luanshya. 10 month old Orange Roan so full of life. Super head with a kind eye and expression. Good neck and shoulders, short with good width of thigh and lovely angulation . Well presented, happy and confident on the move. BPD.
2. Hynd’s Ryallcourt Tan About Town At Scomar

Junior Dog (2)
1. Flowers’ Totenkopf Dutch Spirit Black dog with masculine head and dark tight rimmed eyes. Full of bone and substance. Good neck and shoulders and return of upper arm. Slightly longer cast, but good width of thigh, and well presented. Excellent coat, moved really well.

Undergraduate Dog (3,1)
1. Cleland’s Belltrees Chocolate Fudge. 3 year old Liver Roan. Lovely head with kind expression. Good length of neck in well laid shoulders, tight padded feet. Moved OK.
2. Craigen’s Ryanside Work Of Art. 3 year old black and Tan, with dark tight rimmed eyes. Longer cast than 1, but was well presented by handler. Happy and confident on the move.

Graduate Dog (3,1)
1. Adams’ Whinburn Night Owl JW Sh Cm Gorgeous black dog with an appealing head with dark tight rimmed eyes. Good length of neck in well laid shoulders. Super angulation with well rounded quarters. Moved really soundly, excellent presentation. RBD.
2. Clelland’s Totenkopf Dutch Show Time. Masculine head with dark tight rimmed eyes. Longer cast than 1, well boned, and very well presented. Moved happily.

Post Graduate Dog (6)
1. Torbett’s Kirlinjis Made You Look JW Sh Cm B.lue Roan, Lovely head with appealing dark eyes. Super length of neck in well laid shoulders. Good angulation. Beautifully presented, Lovely allround, moved well.
2. Yilmaz’s Kalispell Kisim Kelpie Blue Roan, with appealing head and kind expression. Good neck and shoulders, well boned with tight feet. Moved really well.
3. Bodzak’s Briconess Solar Flare.

Limit Dog (5,2)
1. Todd & Rahman’s Glenntree Tradition Stunning black dog with gorgeous head and appealing dark eyes. Full of bone and substance, excellent neck and shoulders, deep in brisket, with well sprung ribs. Short, well angulated with good return of upper arm. Good width of thigh and muscle tone, with well rounded quarters. Super on the move holding his topline. Excellent presentation. No hesitation in awarding him BD & BIS.
2. Yilmaz’s Kalispell Kapow Orange roan dog with super bone and substance. Lovely head with a kind eye and expression. Good deep brisket with well padded tight feet. Very happy and merry on the move. Excellent presentation.
3. Flowers’ Totenkopfs Magic Touch JW.

Open Dog (5)
1. Williams’ Gallingos Gold Finger Red dog with super head and kind expressive eyes. Excellent neck and shoulders, deep in brisket, well ribbed with good angulation. Short below the hocks, with well rounded quarters. Moved with confidence holding his topline.
2. Duncan’s Bartonholm Saltire Express Orange Roan with excellent bone and substance. Good length of neck in well laid shoulders. Well angulated, with super width of thigh, and quarters. Happy on the move.
3. Membrado’s Corralet Amor Brujo

Veteran Bitch (6,3)
1. Torbett’s Kirlinjis Ghostly Glow. 12 year old blue roan bitch, with very pretty feminine head and eyes. Lovely neck and shoulders short, with good angulation. Very happy and merry on the move, super presentation
2. MacFarlane’s Lochranza Cordelia Black bitch with lovely head and kind expressive eyes. Good neck and shoulders. Slightly longer cast than 1, but very happy on the move.
3. Gray’s Shadowview Look At Me.

Minor Puppy Bitch (10,3)
Super class of puppies.

1. McCabe-Bell’s Grandtully Eliza Doolittle. 8 month old black bitch, with gorgeous head and dark eyes. Super neck and shoulders, well ribbed, short and compact with well rounded quarters. Super presentation. Moved OK.
2. Maclean’s Lynwater Symphony Lovely orange Roan, Pretty head with good length of neck in well laid shoulders. Well boned with tight feet. Good angulations and width of thigh. Happy on the move.
3. Burnet’s Charbonnel Stop n Glow at Charmwen.

Puppy bitch (8,1)
1. Duncan’s Bartonholm Bellezza. 9 month old stunning blue roan bitch. Caught my eye as soon as she came into the ring. Gorgeous appealing head with lovely expressive eyes. Short square and compact, deep in brisket with good spring of ribs. Super angulation with good width of thigh and well rounded quarters. Was happy and merry on the move, with a lovely wagging tail. Loved her. BPB & BPIS.
2. Todd and Rahman’s Marquell Mijas Breeze. 9 month old blue roan lovely pretty head and eye, Good neck and shoulders deep in brisket with good return of upper arm. Short in coupling, not as well boned as 1, but moved with style, happy and merry.
3. MacLean’s Lynwater Aida.

Junior Bitch (5)
1. Murray’s Kelbonny’s Ginger Spice. Feminine head with lovely kind eye. Well boned, deep in brisket with good neck and shoulders and spring of ribs. Well rounded quarters. Happy on the move.
2. Rodger’s Kenwad Black Opium at Ravensgreen Black bitch With good neck and shoulders. Well ribbed with good angulation. Super coat and condition. Gave owner a hard time, but very happy on the move.
3. Scotland’s Lynlochan Aurora.

Maiden Bitch (6)
1. Duncan’s Bartonholm Belleto. 9 month old orange roan, litter sister to my BPIS super bitch with lovely feminine head and eye. Full of bone and substance, well ribbed with super angulation. Short and square, with well rounded quarters, and short below the hocks. Gave handler a hard time, but very cockery.

2. Fairbairn’s Carmelfair Shooting Star Blue roan and tan, with feminine head. Good neck and shoulders, deep in brisket, short in coupling. Moved OK.

1. Rodger’s Kenwad Black Opium at Ravensgreen

Undergraduate bitch (3)
1. Torbett’s Kirlinjis Made You Stare Dark blue roan bitch with feminine head and dark tight rimmed eyes. Super neck and shoulders with good angulation front and rear. Excellent presentation , Very happy on the move holding her top line.
2. Madigan’s Elroamy Bottoms Up At Misperros  Slightly longer cast that one, but lovely feminine head and eye, deep in brisket, and in super coat and condition. Very happy on the move.

Graduate Bitch (4,1)
1. Torbett’s Kirlinjis Dare To Be Maid Gorgeous Dark blue Roan with pretty head and dark tight rimmed eyes. Well boned and full of substance. Tight well padded feet. Deep in brisket, super angulation front and rear short in coupling with good widgth of thigh. Excellent presentation Happy and Merry on the move. BB & RBIS.
2. Woods’ Belltrees Black Ember Black bitch full of substance pretty head and dark eyes, well angulated and short below the hocks, well rounded quarters. Gave owner a hard time on the move, but well presented.
3. Craig’s Della Fiumana Time To Rock (imp Cro).

Post Graduate Bitch ( 4,3)
1. Bevilacqua’s Whitburn A Stich In Time For Laelia Super dark blue roan with feminine head and expressive eyes. Good neck and shoulders, with well sprung ribs, well angulated Very happy on the move.

Limit Bitch ( 3,1)
1. Bevilacqua’s Whinburn A Stitch In Time For Laelia
2. Madigan’s Misperros Kisses Of Fire Light Blue roan lovely head, with good neck and shoulders. Not as well ribbed as 1 but very happy on the move.

Open Bitch (2)
1. Mitchell’s Buddonness Little Lady Blue Roan with feminine head and eye. Good length of neck in well laid shoulders. Well ribbed, short, with good rounded quarters. Very happy and merry on the move. RBB.
2. Nuttall’s Carmelfair Calabrianna  Lovely Dark blue roan, Super presentation. Good neck and shoulders with super angulation front and rear. Moved very well.

Saturday 17th March 2018.
Critique: Miss Georgia Low

Special Awards Puppy  (14,5)
1. MacLean`s Lynwater Minuet sweet feminine expression with correct eye shape and colour, good reach of neck flowing into correct shoulders, lovely cobby puppy with plenty of substance. Excellent movement with a typical merry disposition and correct tail carriage.
2. Duncan`s Bartonholm Bellezza Another lovely puppy, loved this bitches substance and overall balance, well angulated with a strong rear end and very maturefor her age. Not much to split between 1st and 2nd just a little unswttled today


Special Awards Post Graduate (9,2)
1. Torbett`s Kirlinjis Dare to be Maid Strong yet feminine head with melting expression and dark eye, very balanced bitch with correct shoulder placement and wonderful angulation. On the move she had spirit and drive, great in stance and very well presented.
2. Adam`s Whinburn Night Owl JW Lovely masculine dog with a typical cocker expression and well defined stop, good spring of rib and strong front and rear angulation, very sound on the movewith excellent tail carriage, flawless presentation.

Special Awards Open (9,0)
1. Membrado Polo`s Ch. Corralet Amor Brujo Very stylish masculine dog with melting expression, wonderful reach of neck sloping into well defined shoulders, a compact muscular dog with a good spring of rib and depth of chest. This dogs angulation gave him drive that made his movement appear effortless.
2. Smith`s Craigdean Callimakokr at Luanshys Sh Cm. A mature male, very traditional in his appearance with a strong masculine head and expression, plenty of bone and substance gave him a good depth to his chest, his strong hind quarters were highlighted when on the move and a lovely outline was shown in stance.
